The concluding scene kind of troubled me. Amar left gift for everyone except his best friend. Is it because he was still upset by the treatment meted out at him by the Jhulkas? It looks improbable given the amicable nature of Amar.
Dear frnds, what i cud interpret i m saying. Since rajiv and amar were best frnds. Amar shared everything with rajiv which ever he got in his life. Amar got bad luck(death) and this time he shared the whole of it for himself.
I agree with andie2385, they (amar and rajiv) shared everything in life wherein the larger share was parted to rajiv by amar, in this case, amar parted with life as a gift to rajiv... that was brilliant!
yup! i was gonna say he got the gift of friendship and also a larger share in everything... but ur interpretation is really good! he really gave him most of the good luck too which is symbolized by his success et al
I think you guys are missing the point. Amar's gift to Rajeev is not the list (he could have never expected Vivek to give it to him). The simplicity of his gift lies in the line which repeated in the movie, "Bada wala tu rakh le" (you keep the bigger one). In this sense, Amar gives Rajeev the "bigger life" by taking the smaller one even if unintentionally so.
yeah but thats not really a gift. i mean amar never left him a sign of this...a sign to let rajiv know that this is what amar was thinking. and the movie didnt show rajiv realizing it (and even if he did that may not even be a gift it could be an unintentional coincidence). to me it seems like thats an ironic coincidence but i dont think there was any intent on that symbolism being an actual gift to rajiv.
