In the first scene, the protaganist is getting f--ked by a guy and obviously enjoying it, but then when he gets f--ked by his 'best friend' at the end he's s screaming and crying. even though it is what he wanted all the time! Also, it's implied that in the sex with the French kid that this is the first time he has ever f--ked another guy! HUH?

Being viciously raped and brutalized by your best friend (even one who you harbor intense romantic feelings and sexual desire for) in front of your ex-girlfriend, current lover, and various other fellow gang members probably is not everyone's fantasy come true. I feel fairly confident in generalizing that almost everyone would find this traumatizing.
