To me, Jonno is not so much gross but pathetic. All of the gang around Jonno, Cal and the bitchy girl whose name I forget are pathetic, letting their frustrations out on random strangers. But Cal managed to find his way out, while Jonno cemented his desolation by raping Cal.
On second thought, Jonno may have found a way out in the opposite direction from Cal, in that he's now too pathetic even for his pathetic friends.

P.S.: Cal is the hottest guy.

He definitely had issues considering he offers a smoking blowback (or whatever it's called) to Cal in the car (str8s do this?) and his member was as dead as the corpses in the cemetary during his sex scene with the harpie. During the rape scene he kissed Cal twice and said I love you so yeah, maybe was pissed that Cal moved on from him.

Yeah, I think Jonno had repressed gay feelings for Cal.
I agree- his rage came from feeling betrayed by Cal after
seeing the video clip and finding out about
the relationship with the french kid.

I agree, we call blowbacks "shotguns" on this side of the pond and is usually performed as crazyfists described. So, with the absence of the joint between them, it was practically a kiss and probably would have progressed to one if the phone hadn't interrupted them.

Yeah he was mad because Cal was with other people before him. While Cal was on the ground crying Jonno asked him " who have you been with?" To which Cal responded "everyone but you" which prompted the rape.

Sadly, yes. Men who know who they are don't obsess over other mens' sexuality. The more homophobic a man is, the faster his legs go up in the air when given the opportunity. And your average heterosexuals don't weep and kiss their victims on the neck after brutally raping them.

I like that they left that up to the viewer to decide. Rape rarely comes from normal desire; it's an act of violence. It seemed like Jonno could have been sexually confused, but he also could have felt betrayed by a best friend who decieved him. You just can't tell with guys like that..
