LOL. I came here to say exactly the opposite. I played Gears 1 to death and never once gave a second thought to the music, it's rather boring and unmemorable. And I am a fan of soundtracks for games and movies. I just didn't get any real feeling from Kevin Riepl's music. I recently finished Gears 2 and I definitely took notice of the music this time. I was blown away by the epicness of the music, and I thought it fit a lot better than Kevin's music. It took the game to another level, felt more like a movie.
to each his own. I'm happy they got a better composer for Gears 2.
