I was totally fan of the music of Kevin Riepl on Gears of War I ! But how disapointed I am with the "work" of Steve Jablonsky on Gears of war II ! There's no real theme, or recognizable melody... Just disapointed !

shareLOL. I came here to say exactly the opposite. I played Gears 1 to death and never once gave a second thought to the music, it's rather boring and unmemorable. And I am a fan of soundtracks for games and movies. I just didn't get any real feeling from Kevin Riepl's music. I recently finished Gears 2 and I definitely took notice of the music this time. I was blown away by the epicness of the music, and I thought it fit a lot better than Kevin's music. It took the game to another level, felt more like a movie.
to each his own. I'm happy they got a better composer for Gears 2.

This soundtrack is far better than most feature films.
Loved gears 1's ost. I'm not a big fan of g2's. For me G2's best track was return of the omen (main menu music). I have yet to listen to the whole ost. It gets boring so I go listen to g1.
