I'm never sure who, if anybody other than Wooten, is in on it. The show uses multiple cameras, so I imagine even if they're not in on it, the particpants must know something is up. Also, some of the reactions by participants, if not scripted, seem rehearsed or at least show some foreknowledge of what is supposed to happen. Am I wrong?
From what I've read, those involved think they are being filmed for a reality/documentary tv show, but don't realise who Wootton is, or that they are part of a comedy show.
shareYes. Nobody was told what's going on even when it's over. Everyone thought they were participating in a documentary about whoever he was playing at the time. There always were cameras shooting the "documentary" and at times there were hidden cameras capturing people who thought they were no longer on camera. Very sneaky.
