What do you think Dolph wanted to say at the end?(spoilers)

The entire movie, his character, Andrew, seemed to be undergoing some sort of existential life-crisis or something....although he seemed to remeber JCV's character.

Anyway, it really bothers me that Andrew's last lines are "wait a second!" *BAM*. I was actualy interested in what he was trying to get through his head.

What do you think Dolph's epiphany was? Personally, I think it might've gone a bit something like this....

Dolph: "I finally remember what I wanted to tell you... wait a second!"
*JCV pauses*
Dolph: "We're not tools of the government, or anyone else. Fighting was the only thing... the only thing I was good at. But... at least I always fought for what I believed in."

;-) Good movie btw, a solid 7-8/10 for me, depending on my mood, lol.

Yeah, I wanted to know what he had to say also.

As evil as he has been, I always felt or wished that Andrew and Luc could be buddies again. Maybe this was the moment Andrew realized something and was about to "change". But that is very idealistic.

The reality is Luc and Andrew both died in vietnam on opposite sides. So it is only fitting that their constant reincarnation continues their fight against each other.

But yeah, i wish they coulda been old friends again.

I'm pretty sure he was going to tell him he remembered him.

I think Scott (Lundgren) was going to call Luc (Van Damme) a traitor.

reply

Correct. In the dvd's "making of featurettte" Dolph references the scene saying his character remebered JCVD and their previous encounters. What the exact wording would be is anybody's guess.

Andrew: "I finally remembered what I wanted to tell you...wait a second!"
Deleted Scene: Andrew: "Despite our differences I have always loved you Luc."

"You can't run from this war soldier! Not under my command. You're growing weak. You should have taken your... medication."

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die."

C'mon. This version of Scott is basically Roy Batty...

Deleted Scene: Andrew: "Are you going to say yes now to Expendables 2?."
Van Damme: "BLAM."

I think coz he says "I wanted to tell you something. Something SO FAMILIAR". The only line Dolph says regularly to/at Luc in the original, is "Traitor".

AT the start in Vietnam.
When Luc and the journalist drive off together.
And in the Climax.

What else would he say?

nice mgs quote.
lundgren wanted to say "i farted"

I could die right now, Clem. I'm just... happy. I've never felt that before.

reply

In the first one andrew scott repeatedly called luc devereux a traitor.
I reckon thats the word that was 'right on the end of (my) tongue'
