I haven't read the book yet, but I'd love to hear from someone who has.
I know it's not going to be the book line for line but I hope it reflects the spirit of the original.

it is a book by romulo gallegos, i dont remember all the details of the book cause its been so long, but at the same time i am getting hooked on the telenovela.

It's an intriguing one, but Barbara is getting sickening being so clingy and demanding with Santos. She is also too evil and I get the feeling Maricela is the one who is going to end up with Santos. Though I find weird that Maricela has disappeared and although Antonio and Maria Nieves saw her, the viewers didn't. There was something up with her as I noticed that most of the time only closeups were used of her. But maybe she will have a new look when she comes back.
