Where's Calvin Hill?

Why is he not in the movie? He is probably the best player on either side.

reply

I wondered that too. Is he deceased?

reply

He probably wanted to get paid. The producer wasn't paying the ex-players to be in the documentary.

reply

Kevin Rafferty, the director, has stated in interviews about the film that Calvin Hill declined to be part of it, and said that, "he had talked enough about this game."

reply

What a dick...talk about sour grapes!

If Tommy Lee Frickin Jones isn't too big of a star to sit down and chat during the 40th anniversary of possibly the greatest college football game ever played..then shame on Calvin Hill.

This documentary was incredible, and I hope Grant Hill's dad, which is his claim to fame nowadays...LOL, has regrets for not participating.

In line with what marktoll said in this thread, here is a link to the transcript of an interview with director Kevin Rafferty in which he said that Calvin Hill declined to participate because (in Rafferty's words) "he'd talked enough about this game":
