Randon Thoughts....

Since no one seems to have much to say on this series I guess I can get the ball rolling on some nagging things I noticed.

Since she married the old guy to stop her mom from having him, after she found out he only loved her then what was blocking her from loving him for who he was. Or just getting away from him once there was no need to continue trying to get revenge.

Why all of a sudden does she feel she was right in her actions against her husband, but wrong when her mother was doing this to her dad.

The thing is she was doing the same thing to her husband as her mom was doing to her dad.

The husband was still having plenty of time/sex with his wife, My question is was she just going through the motions with him for all this time, or was there any love for him at all, she had to know he chose her.

Just how would they have been happy when the husband and his daughter would have been devastated after they ran off. She lost her mom and he lost two wives.

What did she think killing herself would accomplish when she had to know everyone was going to be devastated.

Was it actually love she had for him or some twisted fate. I just could not see them as a couple after they ran away. It is hard for me to believe he would have remained faithful to her for life.

Well there is more than enough to get the ball rolling on discussions on this series. Lets get commentary started as this show is to good not to be explored in a debating forum.

For starters, she did't just marry him to get revenge, she had feelings for him and thought she loved him. He was filling in the void that her father left her after he passed away, she had some daddy issues and he was helping her get over it. As the show goes on and she slowly gets over this issue, she starts to realise that it isn't love that's between them as she develops feelings for Behlul.

Never in the show did she feel that her actions were right, in fact, after the first time she has sexual intercourse with Behlul, she breaks down in tears because she felt guilty over it. That is one of the themes of the show, she knew what she was doing was wrong and knew she was being hypocritical, but couldn't help but feel those ways towards Behlul and did what she did in the name of "love".

Towards the end, when she became suicidal, she didn't care about anyone but Behlul. In fact, it seemed like every one she truely loved was leaving her, which led her to reach a severe state of depression. Her mother was about to re-marry and move out, her sister was moving to the US, and Behlul was about to get married and move on with Nihal. She was going to be stuck with Adnan in a miserable life that she didn't want. One could also argue that her love for Behlul drove her crazy, the more he pushed her away, the more obsessed she became over him, so when all seemed lost, she thought that her threatening to kill herself would finally have him crawl back to her. But alas, the moment Adnan walked was the moment she knew that could never happen, which is when she pulled the trigger.

I think you are correct on her, I will call it infatuation with her lover.

If she did not love her husband then why was she feeling so guilty. She seemed as if she would never be happy because of the betrayal and I feel part of the reason she killed herself was because she could not bare to face up to what she had done in combination of loosing he lover.

I feel her suicide was a combination of being a fool and not being able to backtrack out of it. She could not face her husband after what she had done because she foolishly kept it up, Not to mention the things she caused with everyone else. I don't think it was because she would have been trapped in a loveless marriage, She Lost not only with her lover but all involved, Respect and a kind husband, for what, A lover whom jilted her in the end. How would she explain the betrayal and disrespect she showed him. She had no retreat...Sort of what did i gain. She was not, in her "mind" worthy of her Lover and lost respect for her husband. A combination of all this is more likely why she took her own life. When it all ended she was probably pleading to her lover take me away, for it was her only move to slip out the back door and not face anyone.

I think ultimately she would've been okay staying with Adnan, but she wasn't even going to get that; Don't forget, he asked her for a divorce. But I agree she definitely had some feeling for Adnan, and she says that several times.

As far as what killing herself accomplished, I think she knew that Behlul would despise her after the secret comes out and destroys the whole family(if there was anything left for them to destroy), so she would've lost him either way(Not to mention he was kind of losing interest to begin with). I mean, think about it, he chose to protect his family over their love, imagine what would've happened if he had to confront her after all the lies are revealed. Either way, I don't think they could've been together knowing the *beep* storm they caused in that family.
