he didnt kill any kid!

i thought the kid was cavil. like a representation in his mind of himself as a child. his name was john and his parents were alive but ignoring him. and he kept on coming back to cavil. its quite obvious, cavil realised that the kid was a figment of his imagination or 'conscience' and the thought that he could be developing such human traits scared him so he metaphorically killed the kid, in fact he was just killing that part of himself that was empathising with the humans.

Yeah it really comes together when you think at the beginning when Cavil is calling Ellen/Saul Mama/Papa and then it's revealed that the boys name is "John" and his parents were alive and didn't want him. I really can't see how people are missing this, especially the ones who are having a cow because Cavil killed him but they were cool with all the other children on the 12 colonies being nuked.

I guess an argument could be made for this but I honestly think Cavil did kill the kid. He despises humanity. He tolerated the kid long enough to convince himself (or reassure himself, if you prefer) that they do not deserve to live.

"We've become friends, huh? Friends are dangerous things."
