I am being quite objective when I say AROG isn't terrible.

I have paid too many times for terrible foreign movies and I have seen enough to know what is what.

As I have said before, the foreign movies we have been watching aren't perfect, but somehow we expect perfection from Turkish movies. That is NOT objectivity.

I totally agree with TotallyBlunt. Name 1 american comedy in the last decade that is funnier than arog or gora. I paid waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much money on american movies that were supposed to be funny but sucked big time. Like TotallyBlunt said, you expect nothing from a hollywood production but perfection from a turkish movie....

Well, I am not Turkish. In fact I'm Bulgarian. We have been 500 years under Turkish slavery and I think that nobody can say that I'm not objective. And even I think that AROG is almost as good as GORA! Well, it takes a little bit of understanding the Turkish culture, but if you have ever heard of that movie it is supposed that you already know at least a little about Turkey, Turkish culture and etc.

Yeah I am Bulgarian as well, it is interesting that only in Bulgarian books the Ottoman period is called SLAVERY. LOL
I think the hate between Bulgaria and Turkey is uncalled for specially from Bulgarians. These are stuff which happened many years ago and I doubt Bulgaria would have done anyhting different to Turkey if they had the chance. I cannot think of a single neighbor countries which have not fought in the past. FACT

Here are some countries which in general hate each other.

I live in England and every time I meet a Turkish person ans I tell them i'm Bulgarian they become all happy and that... :p

We have more problems with Greece then with Bulgarians. :)
By the way I watched the movie with bulgarian subtitles. :)

response? even pope jean paul 2 apologized for crusaders' barbarism and cruelty, even after a millenium! and since when christians care about pagans!!! they were busy slaughtering pagans themselves because europe itself wasnt 100 percent christian by that time, especially central and northeast sides. besides,muslims did not convert people by force of arms ,unlike the christian inquisition.

Ottomans never tried to change ANYBODY's religion or language by force!
so before calling something slavery you should learn what does that word mean...
Greece and bulgaria should thank the god they have been under the command of Ottomans...

if they have been under any other countries command...
E.G India Pakistan... And I guess... both countries... Greece and Bulgaria is way better situation then India or Pakistan is in now...
France... They could not directed any European nations at all! but they totally destroyed the country called Morocco :) Algeria... Lebanon...
Look at the countries Ottomans had commanded in the past and see the differences...
Ottomans never destroyed anything...

And remember...! the people who claims Turkey is not a European country...
There is 19 different European Nations ( quite few of them are in the EU ) are living on the earth NOW that had been directed by Ottomans once upon a time...

I really dont care about Hungarian President Of France Really... He is just trying to get some attention with his model wife... thats it... but Obama Does not care about him or his pussy wife:)

You can't tell someone not to be nationalist and after that we all read how funny are Tarantino's movies, which suck as a beach-city prostitute.

Or Chinese movies with high ratings that all have the same script where everyone fights for 90 minutes.

I agree with Everything you said except for Bulgarian Wine - which a lot of people like (outside Bulgaria too)

2nd Armenians are white, at least from what Ive seen. There is also alot of white Kurds

Arabs and Gipsys are mostly dark

pffff...why -nearly-all the european and balkan people are really ignorant about turkey? i m living in italy and i saw in the news only taleban and the other stupid muslim terror groups.and also arabic countries people the woman with all covered.and after they think that we are so because we are muslim.

i think nobody should be nationalist..
we all live on one earth, isnt that enough to know we are people of this planet, and not the tiny freckle of land ur goverment claims as theirs..
try thinking more global..

and ffs, i came to imdb for good info about the movie..
to see if its worth to go watch
now i see nationalists and w/e going mental at eachother again...
go find some forum where stuff like this can actually serve some higher purpose..but leave this crap off of imdb..

even if this movie was worth watching, thanks for ruining it for me..
i wont be seeing it..
