Does this really was filmed in Japan?

I haven't seen it yet, that's why i'm asking xD

I don't think so. In the movie, we hardly saw any of Tokyo and the flashing neon lights. (and I'm aware that you've seen the movie by now but I'm just posting the answer in case you're still questioning it)

They also drive on the other side of the road in Japan, in all the car scenes the steering wheels were on the wrong side. Plus I never knew how much the Japan countryside looked like southern California (As Austin Powers said "Isn't amazing how the English countryside looks nothing like southern California").

It says on Wikipedia that it wasn't. It was filmed in LA as always.

I'm sorry you hated the episode. I personally thought it was hilarious and it is one of my favorite episodes in the series. Just because the green screen looked unrealistic isn't a reason to hate the episode, if that really is the reason you hated it.

It looks like it was a sound-stage with a green screen. I am not sure that Nickelodeon has the budget to film internationally.
