I noticed that too. I was so bummed at the cliffhanger ending of the Universe, so it would be nice to find out what happens next. Not sure it will happen at this point though. Casts tend to go in all different directions when a show ends.
Oddly, I just started watching it on Amazon Prime (for free with subscription). There's such a huge difference between the regular old-fashioned reception Comet provides and the nice HD that Amazon has with this show. Comet is also showing the rebooted Outer Limits daily (and in series order!). It's a good channel.

You think the decision on whether to renew the show or now was based off an evaluation of the writer's ideas for season 3? Really? It was canceled because the ratings were low. You can blame the network and their programming choices for that and/or the writing on the existing seasons, but not on what their plans for the future were.

shareThe writing wasn't very good. The concepts were excellent, but the execution? The characters were generally unlikable (I wanted Col. Young killed, because he was incompetent on SO many occasions!); Eli was an immature douche/ arrogant dick, and don't get me started on Sgt. Hill. And Rush? A total dick!! They couldn't work together as a team. And the way they kept blowing the *beep* out of a MILLION year old ship? That would've made Destiny dust. Every episode followed the same formula arc, and it got tiresome. The acting, effects, direction were all fine, so yeah, the writing Killed it.
This should have been a fantastic show.

I again researched virtually all major cast members status. And was pleased to learn that all of their entertainment careers have progressed well since the series ended. 😀

it's not new or reboot or continuation... anything SGU-related that might be aired can only consist of the seasons 1-2 episodes.
