I was being sarcastic. The op made a comment saying they were dumb, with nothing to back up his claim. I made a statement noting they were actually extremely smart because they wanted to stay in the compound, but I made that statement in a sarcastic manner.

Eventually, they'd run out of food at which point the compound would have been utterly surrounded and a guaranteed death trap. First rule of a zombie apocalypse is that you hole up somewhere that can be made safe for years, not a couple of weeks.
Ultimately, you're gonna have to leave so waiting is moronic.
All the way through, Patrick repeatedly points out that the kinds of people who go on Big Brother are... thick as fücking pig shït (the dumb bitch actually thought oxygen could be wasted). He's a smart, ambitious guy willing to cut up bodies if it helps them get out. They are fücktards who just want to be on telly.
Kelly and Riq were reasonably smart (and she originally agreed with his plan) but as soon as they found each other, they were distracted by wanting to play happy families.

Eventually they would, but they would be facing that same problem no matter where they were. Food however, was not an immediate issue. Neither was water, security, or even power.
They probably had more resources at their disposal than 99% of the population, which means they had zero reason to be in a rush to get out. And if they were so dead set(haha) on leaving, they had plenty of time to at least come up with something resembling a plan. Patrick's brilliant idea of hopping in a car with no idea whats outside or where he was gonna go is beyond stupid.

A. The first rule would be to put something between you and the immediate threats and they already had that covered by dumb luck.
B. They were still at the very beginning of a zombie outbreak so a couple of weeks is a long time for a lot to happen. Maybe some soldiers roll in and end the outbreak. Maybe the zombies die off naturally. Maybe some other idiots led by their own Patrick drive by and draw away all the zombies. share
