Wasted Potential ?

I think this would've made a pretty good television series.

I sort of agree. The idea was excellent but the execution was not so.

I completely agree with you both. I read a short description before watching it, and I thought the idea sounded interesting and like this could potentially be a great movie. But then it started and nothing interesting happened. The story just dragged its feet, slowly and painfully. I'm sure some people will disagree, but I thought Demi was really bad in this role.

Also, it was listed as a comedy and I only chuckled once or twice (the toilet scene and Billayyy).

Amber Heard's affair with the boat guy was completely useless and pointless in this story. Didn't bring anything to the table.

Mick's sexuality could potentially add an interesting twist, but then I guess the screen writers decided to do nothing with it.

Basically, I just kept waiting for this story to go somewhere and reach a high point, but it just remained flat and boring.

I don't know if the script was just poorly executed, and if maybe it would be completely different if they reshot it in a totally different way and perhaps with some other actors (David Duchovny was great though). In any case, it lacked many things. And "dull" was the only word that came to mind from the beginning till the end.
