SIngle movie that beats 90% hollywood action flicks!

Watched Don 2.It is by far the single movie in my eyes that thumps 90% of hollywood action movies.
I was hugely disappointed by Ra.one but srk defines the phrase-"Back with a Bang!"

1.SRK is at his best.If you like SRK,this movie is fun for you.If you hate him,still this movie is best(though you may not admit)

2.SRK as Don-His grimace,each expression,wicked mannerisms and gestures send chills down your spine.THIS is what a Don supposed to be.He makes Amitabh's don look mediocre.
Every single line is delivered gracefully.He has gotten into the skin of the character.
Those guys complaining how he was being romantic at serious places-go get a life!This Don is supposed to be witty,cool and never succumbing to any pressure situation!His character is designed that way.Why the hell should he carry a dumb and tense face always?Taking on major opponents and creating mayhem is his Passion!He does this for fun!Every line assorted to his character is well thought out and executed in same way.
He is the driving force of the movie and again proves why no Salman Amir can ever come close to him.

3.Direction-There are flaws.Which movie doesn't have?Was Crank/Transporter/any M.I./Fast 5 flawless?Heck no!
In fact those people giving 8/10 to MI4 should see Don,with roughly 1/4th of Budget,we made a film better in visuals,quality and most importantly-in acting!
The whole movie has got international look.Action stunts are at par with most hollywood movies.Considering that we don't have enough pre-existing action masterpiece movies,this is a MAJOR leap of bollywood in the action genre.
Now I am sure,if SRK features in any hollywood movie with some good directors he will beat any international actor in performance

4.Music-
Again,get a life guys!Music rocks!Only 1 song in the movie,that too is blended so so well that it doesn't hinder the prgress of the movie.The best song for introduction of SRK-Zara dil ko thaam lo.Use of colors in cinemaography is fine.-He looks menacing in that red light with smoke and evil smirk on face!
Another great background song is Hai ye maaya.The movie should have been made without intermission

On the closing note-Don2 is one man show SRK The King.It's much better than Don(2006),I will not compare it to 1978 movie since if 2011 don is DON then 1878 don is only a Chor.

Yes, when those Hollywood movies were made 20 years ago. Compare some similar movies that Hollywood makes today with Bollywood.

You see the problem is, I am not going to argue if Don 2 is better or worse. But I am going to say these, dont make the same sh*t after 20 years and say its a breakthrough.

Some movies that when released were so called breakthrough for Bollywood.

Hum Tum better than Harry Met Sally(Romantic genre)

Koi... Mil Gaya better than ET and Starman (SciFi genre) - I cant believe all those awards including Best Movie awards. Only in Bollywood plagiarism gets praised.

Ra One better than Hollywood's all superhero movie combined (superhero genre)

I still enjoy watching Mr India and no one seems to care that its the best Indian superhero movie made. And here's a little advice, Hollywood makes superhero movie based on comic or other source. You make by copying from them. You have Mahabharat or Ramayan, make them or use else. Stop plagiarizing.

Now Don 2 better than all Hollywood action movie ever made ( action genre)

Hopefully, you will make Avatar(even though its a crap other than visual experience) after 20 years and will call it a breakthrough. Till then I hope Imdb exists and lets hope I am still alive to watch Bollywood version of Avatar.

Do some research, watch some good Hollywood movies, learn the good and bad in film making, then perhaps say sthing constructive.

well said jubair...i think its the blind devotion of these people towards SRK that make them say such infeasible nonsense , I liked don2 a lot but hell it does not beat 90% of holly action flicks by any means !! they are far superior and bigger in terms of technology and finance for god sake !! I also like SRK but the blind devotion of some fans towards him is irritating and eventually generates hatred towards SRK

All those grimaces and smiles you're fawning over was overacting! The movie was ok and the visuals were top notch but nothing new. The acting wasn't best at all. Once again those close up shots of his facial expressions were just too much, he was trying to hard. his entire demeanor as a overconfident master criminal was overplayed, John Travolta did it best in Swordfish. Comparing this to Mission impossible 4 is laughable. the movie doesn't suck but it isn't a masterpiece by a long-shot. Fast 5 & Transporter was waaay better than this, I can't speak highly of crank but at least it had it's funny moments. I don't recall laughing at anything in this film. The stunts seem like they were doing them just to do them, jumping off the building had so sense of urgency at all. I just figured out why I was excited about this movie.. there was no sense of URGENCY AT ALL no matter what the music was trying to make me feel about the scenes.
