Finally, Syrup-Free!

This is one of the rare holiday movies from the Hallmark Channel that's not grossly candy-coated. I felt the characters were realistic and likable overall.
It did become a little preachy at the end, but it's not overdone. Thumbs up.

I totally agree with you. I can't stand most Hallmark Channel movies but this movie had well written characters and situations. The acting by Jason Gedrick and Rhea Pearlman was really good and they played well off each other. The actors who played the choir members played them in a honest way that was touching because deep down despite their flaws they were good men. I think the fact that this movie was inspired by a true story brought a lot of quality too. Most of the time the Hallmark Channel doesn't touch certain subjects at least with this movie real hardships of life were shown.

One of my fav Christmas movies I've seen in a while, great script for the most part and happy that it's based on a true story. Also enjoyed recognizing the different parts of Montreal the movie was filmed in.
