Role of father

Please somebody tell me who is playing the part of his father. I've loked on every site I can find and unbelievabley he isn't listed in any of the credits.

reply

He's played by Peter Fonda http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0001228/. There isn't much info out there for the movie is there - I only know because I recognize him.

reply

I don't think that is Peter Fonda. It is not shown on his credits

reply

It isn't Peter Fonda same age though. This is a guy I used to see on many shows 25 or 30 years ago just can't think of a specific one to back track on IMDB with, however.

Found him Michael Sarrazin here's a link to a current pic---have no idea why he wasn't listed in the cast on the Christmas Choir movie site or IMDB.

You're right. It is Michael Sarrazin. I'm so embarrassed - I usually get these things right. My sister said that Peter Fonda wasn't aging well. I guess not when it isn't even him. Thanks for the correction.

reply

Holy cow, I thought it was Peter Fonda, too! I haven't seen Michael Sarrazin in ages and didn't even recognize him.

the role of the father is played by Michael Sarrazin
i know because i have been following him since 1973

rent the GUM BALL RALLY and you can really appreciate him-great flick
he was in THEY SHOOT HORSES DON'T THEY

when you know his character features you don't need to see his name on the credits

reply

Amen! I too have been watching him since "The Reincarnation of Peter Proud". Those eyes!

reply

Wow - yes. I can't believe it's him. I loved him in The Reincarnation of Peter Proud and They Shoot Horses Don't They...
Loved him in this too, and he's softer, more refined in a sense, than Henry Fonda. But so similar, I had to look him up.
He's still got it.

Another favorite of mine - Ken Kesey's 1971 screen adaptation of his novel Sometimes A Great Notion (aka Never Give an Inch), featured Henry Fonda as father of a logging family, Paul Newman as the oldest son, and Michael Sarrazin played Newman's half-brother. Lovely Lee Remick played Newman's wife. Michael Sarrazin was about 30 at the time, and quite easy on the eyes...

It is played by Michael Sarrazin who looks a lot like Peter Fonda. He is credited in this movie on other websites listing the full cast.
