Troma, Da Fuq?

I consider myself a pretty good analyzer of film. So, currently, I am 45 minutes into the film and there is ZERO character development. Ok, with low budget films, you ignore performance to an extent, you kinda expect it and at times kinda love it. This film though, tries to hard to be something more without EVER giving it to us. Ever. When you look up some of the greatest horror films, what do you get, a good story to wrap your mind around and on rare occasions, a BRILLIANT story. This is neither. AS, at 45 plus minutes, I don't care anymore. Why don't I care, cause I have no idea who anyone is. There is no reason for any of this to be happening.

When writing, you have to drop hints, clues to why, back story, character histories, so that we know and care about who is dying and understand why the killer is killing. 45 minutes in, I don't know why the killer is killing and I don't care if they die, in fact, I want them to cause they are so stupid and boring. Not even sure nudity can save this film.

For those of you who mentioned some greats like Argento, Agatha Christie, I read a review on another site that brought of Hooper, Craven and Miller. Please get your head checked, as this film does nothing to bring comparisons to them. So there are great landscape shots, so there are awkward facial expressions. You CANNOT BUILD tension with these tricks if the audience is not invested into it. This film tries to hard to be a Psycho, Rosemary's Baby, Chained, North by Northwest. But fails drastically because this film is missing the one thing that those films have, A STORY. As a film maker, the most important aspect of a good movie is story. You can have AMAZING ACTORS, BRILLIANT DIRECTOR but if the story sucks, it sucks. But average, even bad actors, high school film director with an amazing story, you get a decent movie.

The ending, WTF…. Makes no sense. This film looks literally like they spent ALL MONEY on a location that is cool. But the location does nothing for the film since the PURE GARBAGE that is spewed ruins the location. A lot of people are talking about the music.. The entire first half of the film is a LOUD piano that is ANNOYING as fluck and eludes to an ominous, crazy film that never happens. Everything is out of place. One of the worst attempts at a low budget indie horror film I have ever seen.

Since Troma bought this film and was distributor, I was expecting something more TROMA like. Tromeo, Sgt Kabukiman, and others. This is nothing like that.
Be prepared to fall asleep, or die of boredom watching this film.

Some notes to those who liked it, please answer the questions… And state where the answers in the film were..
I watched the directors notes on the film and his stupidity is amazing because not even he answered these questions.

Who was the killer, and why was he killing?
Who is the bug catcher in relation to the older couple, and the guests that show up?
What did the Mom and boyfriend do for a living? and, what happened to the real dad?
Why is the daughter a DOOSH bag?
Why did the ending happen the way it did? Why was there no nudity? (hello ARGENTO)
How does a Pheasant make a car lose control on the road?
Why did they stop at a museum?

THIS FILM IS TERRIBLE….
