People today are living like there is no tomorrow, and unless we make drastic changes in our lives there won't be. Petroleum is needed for much more than just our cars, and we are fast running out. Too many people, too little oil. 50 years from now, or less, we will be SOL.

Nope. There's a tumbleweed rolling by and no one paying the slightest bit of attention that we, Americans are living a completely unsustainable lifestyle. This isn't some far off, we'll-deal-with-it-someday scenario. It's already happening.
