Relation to New Moon?

Sorry, this movie was only a 5, it was pretty dumb in many ways.

but the whole time I kept seeing references to New Moon (Twilight 2) including:

1) the font on the cover, the font looked the same as the Twilight/New Moon titles on their boxes. I watched it as "Summer's Moon" (not Blood), so the word really stuck out and made it look even more like it.

2) Summer's mothers name is Twila (like Twilight)

3) (Sort of) Darwin's daughter (forgot her name) had the same kind of hair-do as Alice Cullen who is played by Ashley Green (Summer).

Points 1 and 2 stuck out like a sore thumb to me.

And here's another oddity. The title on here is "Summer's Blood". Why was it changed to "Summer's Moon"?

I noticed the font and the name too!! Also the blood on her face at the end of the movie was placed in a way that made it look like she just fed on someone.

Definitely not coincidence.
