I love it.

I absolutely love this show.
I love the mystery, I love the romance, I love the comedy. Dorian's brilliant, Maggy's great, and Rosalind's just damn interesting.
I'm from the States and I've watched it all online.
How successful is it over in the UK? Is it normal over there for shows to only have 8 episodes in a series? I thought it was 13?

reply

Eight is slightly more than normal. Normal's six. Whether it will get a second series... I think that's up in the air.

Aah alright, thanks

It's not that successful. I think it's getting great-ish ratings on the channel it's shown on but it's not one of the mainstream ones. But I too love it :)

Some shows [in their first series] have 8 episodes, some have 6, some have more, just depends on the contract i guess!

13's the average for a short series and 22 for a full season, only around here. In the UK, it's 6, for a short one, and 13 for a long one. So 8 is technically out of wack. That being said, it makes for better TV though I always find myself wanting more. The fact is, when you only have 13 episodes MAX to make a point, you make it and you don't end up with wishy-washy half-baked storylines for idiots like we often do in the US and Canada.
