Things That Ended Up Being Pointless

The one thing I didn't like about the story mode was jumping through hoops to save someone only to have them die anyway. First, Dr. Young, you save not once but twice(medical facility and the mansion) only for her to die in the safe explosion. The 2nd are the 2 dudes in the aviary. This one pissed me off because it was fairly tricky having to sneak around trying not to be seen. You go through all of that only to find that the Joker killed them.

I'm happier than a puppy with 2 peters

The point still remains that once you go through that, fight Joker's titan goons, blow up the lab, then go out and find the 2 dudes dead.

Donny! We got a German here who wants to die for country. Oblige him.

So? It's perfectly in character for Joker to do something like that.

But what was the point to saving them?

Because Batman doesn't discriminate who he saves. You ever wonder why The Joker's still alive?

I...drink...your...MILKSHAKE!

I DRINK IT UP!!!

Now you know how Batman feels.

"I'm just a mean green mother from outer space...and I'm bad!"

Poor guy with all these sorrows. It just made it too easy for Giant Scarecrow.

Life's a bitch that's why I married her!

That's why Batman is my favorite superhero. If I had gone thruogh all the crap he had, I would have ended up being a medicated alcoholic. I'm quoting something Batman said to a villian in an animated Justice League movie here, but it sums up the character perfectly:
"You know the difference between you and me? We both stared into the abyss. But when it looked back, you blinked."

"I'm just a mean green mother from outer space...and I'm bad!"

I actually loved this angle of the story. It showed how dangerous Joker is. Always one step ahead. Plus it added to the gritty nature of the game. Seeing innocents die even after you save them.

Plus the game is about the worst night of batmans life, this hope being crushed constantly really made it feel that much more epic to me.

And it made the joker more of an arse.

I got an appointment, with planet earth...

Yeah, Joker's a real a-hole. lol
