a question about Otis..**SPOILERS

soo.. in the scene when Otis and Don are in the backyard looking for the body, and sonny comes running out, i think i missed something, but why doesn't Otis realize that this isn't the real sonny. I mean we understand Don is pretending she is, but why doesn't otis realize it. He was around way back when, and he knew the real sonny..idk might be something completely minor and unrelated, but it kind bugged me after the end of the movie

still a good movie besides this tiny thing

and has no reason to believe she is passing her off as sonny.
why would he?
don didn't tell him that he was shacked up with a chick pretending to be sonny. he just said "i left a body behind sonny's house.
i still refer to the houses in my hometown as being owned by the people who owned them 25 years ago, even though a lot of them are dead or long since moved away.

There's obv been a post removed here, but I think I can fill in the reason why...and maybe it's what was said in that now missing post, but Otis seems to have a flunkey memory of Sunny. I mean he knew who Sunny was supposed to be when Don first came to visit him at Otis' house, but it seemed like his memory of her was a little hazy. Plus, it's possible that being that it was dark and Otis was scared of being caught he didn't register it and hightailed it out of there.

Plus, and I know this is reaching and is never obv explained in the film, but maybe that's exactly what happened and Otis thought about it later and went back to confront "Sunny"/Joanne about it and that's when she killed him *(if she did, as was thought by some other users.)

My take is that Otis was one of Don's friends that died in the fire. I still haven't figured out who the third is. So basically, I think Otis is in his head.

Still trying to figure out the 3rd friend... but didn't the cabbie mention something about his grandson? I guess I need to watch again after knowing the ending.
