The ratings are good.

Rachel came in second in her timeslot, beating Larry King on CNN.

Hannity and Colmes came in first although in some respects that can be considered inflated.

Fixed News is included on *all* cable packages so is available to an extremely wide range of viewers.

Comcast recently switched MSNBC to a higher tier so only those viewers that can afford to bump up can afford to watch. CNN, I believe, is available on a higher tier than Fox Noise but lower than MSNBC.

A friend of mine switched to a lower tier on DISH network recently and now no longer has access to MSNBC as well.

So the ratings for Rachel's show are somewhat more significant when you take into account all these factors as well - which I'm sure MSNBC is aware of.

I have no doubt that the Faux News programs would get lower ratings if cable and satellite subscribers had to pay more for them.

wow, I didn't know this. Thanks for the info. I always wondered why Fixed News had such high ratings.

I remembered when lived in Orange County for a while and I didn't get MSNBC. I had to wait until I came back to L.A. to watch.

It was funny how Fux news's Bill O'Reily got his briefs all bunched up when both "The Countdown with Keith Olberman" and the "Rachel Maddow Show" whooped his ass in ratings. Now he claims there's a glitched in the Neilsen's rating system.

What an ass.

Here's an interesting twist...'The Rachel Maddow Show" which airs right after "Countdown with Keith Obermann" is actually eating Keiths ratings by .02 percent...I don't think Kieth was expecting that...

I think Keith Olbermann is happy as long as SOMEBODY IS chipping away at Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and Hannity's "liberal" sidekick.
