Knowingly SPREADS LIES about Plastic Guns and 'Cop Killer Bullets' FILTH

I emailed Rachel Maddow yesterday because I was simply shocked at her outright lies, and rehashed propaganda. I shouldn't be surpirsed that she misleads the public, she is a leftist, but the fact that people think she is truthful and a "journalist" is sad.

I originally emailed her because of her appearance in Real TIme with Bill Maher and her mention of "Cop Killer Bullets" and "Plastic GUns" which can evade metal detectors.

Little did I know she went further on her own show. CHeck this video out,

http://www.everydaynodaysoff.com/2011/01/13/plastic-guns-anti-aircraft-weapons-clips-and-cop-killer-bullets-on-rachel-maddow/

then please read my email which I will paste below where I tell her how wrong she is.

"Hi Rachel

I will say I don't agree with you on almost anything. Actually, I've watched your show a few times, and have never agreed with you, but I was sitting in my living room in utter disbelief yesterday as I watched you on Real Time With Bill Maher.

There you were on Real Time talking about how the pro-gun lobby, and the right fought against the ban on "plastic guns" which evade metal detectors. WOW! I don't know if that statement came from sheer ignorance of the facts, or from a desire to spread misinformation.

There has never ever ever ever, been a plastic gun which can evade metal detectors. There are quite a few polymer framed pistols on the market, the most famous of which is the Glock brand, but those pistols cannot evade metal detectors or X-Ray scanners. The polymer framed pistols have just that, a polymer frame the slide, the springs, the striker (firing pin) are all metal. The bullets, the casings, the trigger all metal, all steel no less. They were never meant to evade metal detectors, they were made of polymers to reduce weight. Glocks are used heavily by law enforcement and for good reason, if you have to carry a gun all day, it's nice to have a light weight gun.

I thought this myth of the plastic gun which evades metal detectors was gone along with the Arsenio Hall show and other relics of the 90s. Apparently it has not left us. While I do disagree with you, I've always thought you were pretty sharp, and while you're mostly wrong, I thought you were at least honest.

I'd also like to address your comments on "Cop Killer Bullets". The term itself "Cop Killer" is sensationalistic and does not lend itself to honest debate. I will ask you to research The "Cop Killer" bullets before spreading more misinformation. The KTW rounds were designed by two law enforcement officers and a coroner for use by law enforcement. They were not designed to penetrate officer's vests. The rounds were meant to go through such targets as windshields.

They were really not found at your local gun shop and were not really available to the public. They were an expensive specialty law enforcement round. The NRA only blocked the ban because the language in the bill would have made high powered rifle rounds illegal as the language was too vague (I don't believe that was an accident) the NRA actually helped draft the new wording of the current law which bans the ammunition.

And lastly, I will ask you to read Massad Ayoob, he has a lot to say on the subject of "laser etched" bullets. His thoughts on the subject could be enlightening. For instance, a criminal could simply file away any marks on the end of the projectile, a criminal could easily cast his/her own bullets and load their own rounds (it's not hard and is done by a great many gun owners). To say nothing of the fact that the cost to the industry would cripple it, and would cause even law enforcement to cut back on ammo, or pass along a huge tax bill, all for a mark that can be filed off in seconds. I hope the idea seems as impractical to you now as say, missile defense systems, something you laughed at as fantastic and impractical.

Best,
(Will leave me name out on IMDB)

Here is a little more info.

About plastic guns, the ATF testified;

"(D)espite a relatively common impression to the contrary, there is no current non-metal firearm which is not reasonably detectable by present technology and methods in use at our airports today, nor to my knowledge is anyone on the threshold of developing such a firearm." (House Subcommittee on Crime, May 15, 1986)

The press in their agenda can not tell difference between a water pistol or nerf gun . A crossbow is a AR-15 to them .
