Everyone wants to be Italian, and live in a beautiful Italian village and eating Italian food! Even sea monsters!
shareI don't travel, so I'm not sure how much truth there is to this, but from what I've read those "beautiful Italian villages" are now overrun with tourists. In another post someone (EDIT: MovieChat user Otter) said part of the appeal of this film is in its depiction of a fishing village back in the day when it was just that... a fishing village, not some commercialized tourism zone.
