Not so happy with the title

I haven't seen the video yet, but could hackers have been anything else but people? Perhaps the video is worth watching as a watered down portrait of the author's definition of a hacker, but then isn't the title misleading? I mean what kind of dimwit would for even one moment think that hackers are not people? Pizza delivery persons are people too, and so are mathematicians, murderers, and megalomaniacs.

The following is a funny post by the user Pegasus at Releaselog (although personally I think it needlessly portrays hackers as unlikable persons):

Hmmm, let's see what other groups we can make to look likeable [sic] with this method:

RIAA & MPAA workers are people too.
Lawyers are people too.
Paranoid dictators are people too.
Islamic fanatic terrorists are people too.
Furries are people too (NOT).
Trolls are people too.
Zombies are people too (almost).
Pedos are people too.
George W. Bush and Paris Hilton are people too.
Apple users are people too.

Food for thought.

There's a very specific reason for the title, and if actually take the time to watch it, you'll see that I got the idea for the title from something several people said during their interviews. The whole point of the movie is to get rid of the notion that hackers are some sort of evil super villains out to destroy the world but just regular citizens (or people) like you, me and your neighbor. Its not meant to be taken literally by any dimwit who thinks that hackers are animals or inanimate objects. Its more of a joke.

But thanks for taking the time to post negatively on my movie's page. :)

Hey New York Dude! I *AM* a New York Dude... and the producer. As such NY Dudes, you should know there are people, there are animals, some people are animals, but animals are not people (except for whales, dolphins, and the occasional biped). Filmography is not always about literalism. Check out *really* bad film titles. (Use Google for that.) "Barbarians at the Gate" is a pretty good example of Barbarians Are People, Too. :-) Jus' sayin' New York Dude...

Thank you sir for the movie and for your kind reply. I don't think the title of this movie is bad. I am in agreement, although I've to say that in an attempt to make sense of everything you were saying about people and animals, I associated the whales and dolphins part more with obese men and women than with water dwellers. Cheers.

:-) That's cool part of New York Dudes. We can agree or disagree just as loudly, as long as the beer is cold! :-) Hope you enjoyed the film. FYI: Ashley has been asked to do a sequel in Europe. We'll see...
