They needed to be able to get close to the guy without everyone else hearing.

The dance scene was just for some extra laughs, which I thought worked well, especially the sex robots part.

I thought it was stupid writing! There was absolutely no reason for Steve Carell to pole dance! The guy gets off on both the guy and girl dancing? Yeah right!

When they first got up and started dancing like an old married couple, now that was funny
