This show is dead to Sleek now.

All of life's problems can be solved by finding an emo kid and beating the crap out of him.

reply

Well, er, good for you, Sleekray...incidentally, you don`t improve matters with you 'emo' tagline. Try GOOGLING 'The Sophie Lancaster Foundation UK' & you`ll see why I took an instant dislike to your post (although I suspect I`m merely saving time in your case, dumbass).

As with the original threadposter, I stumbled across the series, & watched (via YouTube) up to Ep.8 (no more online).
It`s being released here (UK) on 29/9/14, & I`m pre-ordering it, so no copyright theft/illegalities happening here - the makers`ll get their (rightfully-earned, IMO) fee for their work!

I imagine your 4 and a half year late reply put him in his place. You can resume smugly barking at the moon now.

Brilliant riposte/putdown, firerant...has it occurred to you that if my post being a while after the fact is a sign of stupidity, then your response (considering the elapsed time) is a teensy-bit ironic?
As with most people, I don`t pick films/series on IMDB & decide to comment on `em at random - I looked up Toradora as I was watching it for the 1st time, having a)only got online at home in Summer of this year, b)hadn`t heard of it until it came recommended from a friend, & c)was curious to hear what others who had seen it thought.
As for my comment re: The Sophie Lancaster Foundation - Sophie Lancaster was a Goth/Emo girl in her early 20`s who, along with her boyfriend, were set upon in an unprovoked attack by 5 thugs of similar age (complete strangers) who thought it would be amusing to beat the crap out of 2 'weirdoes' (even after they fell unconscious) because of comments like the 1 that Sleekyray`s post ended with. As a result, Sophie died a short while after from the injuries inflicted without ever recovering consciousness & her bofriend barely survived, spent months in a coma & will have physical & mental impairment for the rest of his life.

hi, i just recently discovered this show exists but haven't started it. I'm interested in watching it but like going in blind.

-what exactly makes this show awesome?

-is this show anything like "Welcome to the NHK"?

- is there a strong or moderate amount of mystery to this show?

-without spoilers, what kind of the people are the main characters like?

I personally do not enjoy rom/com type anime, or "light" anime fare, and would like to avoid that if possible.
However if it has certain sensibilites (mystery, quiet, or thought provoking themes) then i'd like to try it out.

reply

I think Toradora would be classed as a rom com/drama, if that`s any help.
