See a True Original

I saw "Sound of Noise" at a market screening in Cannes. Along with the majority of the audience, I was swept away by the sheer imagination and execution of the highly original screenplay. It must be said that I, myself, hate noise, might have been one of the citizens to complain about such a group, but the film was so sweet, so true to its concept and so well done, that I came to love the noise....despite, or perhaps because of, the fingers I placed in my ears. Bravi tutti!!!!

I'm just now getting my hands on this amazing film. I HATE the music blaring in big cities (lived in one for 6 years), so seeing a group like this who feels the same way, actually rally against it was beyond satisfying. I wish a group like this existed in real life.

But i'm a bit different than you, as i've always been a very auditory oriented person (can't remember faces for the life of me, but say something once and i'll remember it forever). I'm even a pretty proficient musician at the guitar (with a passing interest in the drums). So to see a mix of experimental music (percussion based even!) within the film medium was very cool. The music, the editing, the visuals, the story, the characters, everything was very unique and well done.

I mean how can you not just be floored by the drumming in the van scene?!
