This was one long doc on porn, clocking in at just shy of two full hours. This was very slick and well produced, but even with the high runtime, something was lacking. I know I could have done without the Prague porn scenes, since it brought nothing to the overall picture.

Sasha Grey and Belladonna were great to listen too, and I would have liked to have seen more of the Otto and Aubrey dynamic…it looked like something was happening off camera, and we only got glimpses.

Seeing this and other porn docs, really makes you realize how normal these girls look compared to other women—women who think they have to look like porn stars or Hollywood actresses, yet often will look better and not even know it!

I loved the coda on Mia Rose, and how she was banned from World of Warcraft after they found out she was in porn…and a level 70. lol

Oh my gawd...I've turned into a board lurker...

Thank you for your feedback. Regarding the length of the movie we agree totally with you and the Prague scenes are already out!

oh come on...the prague scenes were essential
i liked the story of tom herold, especially in the end when he rants about his job, the industry and his life.
also finally someone realised that porn isn't just happening in the us. i thought that was an interesting and good aspect of the film.
hope this part is back in on the dvd. i didn't consider the movie long at all. could have watched another two hours.

Hi there,

thanks for your words. I don't know where you have seen "9to5", but you saw the first editing, which was 115 Min.!!! The latest version is a little shorter and there is no Prague scenes anymore.

I completely agree with you regarding women and it seems like the new generation really wants to look like Stars, Pornstars.

About the off camera, we might have some deleted scenes on the DVD Bonus/ Extras;)

Mia is playing again! Well, probably she will get banned as soon as they find out;)

hey,
can you tell us whether there are any other changes between that first cut (which i guess i have seen) and the recent one besides the removal of the prague scenes?
and is there any chance that we can see those prague scenes as bonus/deleted footage on an upcoming dvd? personally, i - as an european viewer - thought those scenes were a good contrast to the ones shot in the valley.

anyway, thanks for making such an awesome movie. it was also good to see some of my favorite faces like kimberly kane or bobbi starr in the background. cant wait to have it on dvd :)

I also would like to express my curiosity at these alleged "Prague scenes" that were not in the cut I saw, which was 95 mins.

i liked the addition of the prague scenes in the 115 minute version that i saw. also wondering about the parting bit about audrey which said something like "audrey is getting better..." what was that a reference to. didn't get it. solid documentary all around.

I thought it was decent. I thought it could have been more detailed about certain elements like how specifically some porn scenes are done and it could have showed more on the male perspective too. It definately humanizes the people in the industry and does make you think twice when looking at porn. I guess I wanted to get more inside the minds of the stars in the industry and learn even more, because some things I already knew before seeing the documentary.

I found Sasha very interesting. For such a young lady, she has incredicible insight and intelligence. I just saw her in same maintstream film called the girlfriend experience and she was good but then I saw her in Entourage but her acting wasn't as good. I hope she does very well.
