I was surprised to see Kathryn Morris do a rom-com. She was the most sweet, innocent, childlike woman vs. her hardline Lily Rush character on Cold Case. Quite an acting range she has there. Of course, in the real world, if she acted like that, she would've been scooped up and married by age 18, lol. :)
shareYes, quite a change. It took me a while to figure out where I had seen her before. She was great as Lily Rush on Cold Case and it is nice to see her again, especially in such a different role.
shareI don't think the role really worked for her. It always seemed like she was playing a character. Though part of that might be the sound. There was something very strange about the actors' voices in certain parts of the film. It had that distant quality like when you record vocals in the studio and then lip-sync in a movie or when you redub a foreign language film.
shareI think people are uncertain because the role was dramatically different to Lily.
But Kathryn did a really great job!
