The title of the show is too common
It was hard for me to find its imdb page.
shareYes, there were quite a few listings for this title in the search, but that wouldn't keep me from looking it up.
I feel that the title of a show is what gives it it's uniqueness, character, and definition, and that title either compels me to give it a go, or it pushes me away. If I have no idea from reading the title what the show could be about, such a Rookie Blue, Law and Order, or even The Martha Stewart Show, than why should I bother to tune in?
I feel the creators of The Bridge did it a diservice by not coming up with a better title. This one is so generic and boring, I fear it will lose potential viewers, and not be given its chance to shine. That said, I love the show, and will continue to tune in weekly.
I don't know what you did, but I typed the words "The Bridge" into the search field and hit enter. Then I scrolled down a fairly long list of names until I found one that said "The Bridge 2010 TV" (or something close to that.) I didn't time myself, but I'd guess 15 seconds was pretty close to how long I needed to find it. Is your need for immediate gratification so strong that these instructions were too much for you to handle without complaint?
Having said that, however, I do agree that the people who came up with the name should have done a little more research. A Canadian production that is so obviously pandering to the American market needs everything it can get to set itself apart, and a more unique title would have helped.
i agree....i have to go in through the nancy drew to find it, for paul...lol.....so why isn't there it's own page....
