Why would anyone rig a show as crappy as this?

On the episode with the Freedom Rappers vs. the Guitar Heroes, anyone else notice that the blindfolded guy at the end does not listen to his team. He's told to raise his hands, instead he brings them in to his sides so he can fit through the hole. Then he gets up, moves up to the camera, looks right at the camera in front of him and holds his finger up like he's #1. Gee, how do you do that when you can't see?
