I loved this movie however I'm pretty sure alex and the gang enjoyed it in africa, plus he had his family there! Suddenly they want to go home and there was no sign of his parents anywhere. Just something I want to really know about to complete this movie for me.
shareI've been wondering about that too since seeing this movie, but since Bernie Mac died the same year the second Madagascar came out, I'm pretty sure they didn't want to include Alex's parents just to pay respects to him.
shareI don't think respect had anything to do with it. Madagascar 1 was all about Madagascar with Africa in the background. Madagascar 2 was all about Africa alone. In this Madagascar it seemed like they needed to kill the whole African idea (characters and all) and get them out in the 1st ten minutes.
I did not enjoy this movie at all.
Was wondering the same, seemed very weird.
