Last Scene... What did his friend mean? (SPOILER)

I didn't quite get the ending for this movie. I think I know what he meant, but not too confident. Was his friend the reason why his girlfriend dumped him in the first place? Anyway, what do you believe his friend was talking about.

No, his friend wasn't the reason. His friend was seeing the main character's sister, but when he confessed he just said her first name which was the same of main character's ex-girlfriend's. And main character misunderstood that his friend was seeing his ex-girlfriend.

Some mistakes are too much fun to make only once.
