How many Xenomorphs should there be?

The Weyland executive said there was 60-70 family's on LV 426 in the Aliens film... so if we based it on a family wit 2 adult's 2 children, so 60 x 4 so there 250-300 aliens.. They killed quite a lot during the battles in that film, The nuke goes kills another load..

Right on the game it self.. Soon as you land on LV426 each level you kill an average of 50 Xenomorphs, Where do they come from? where did the different type of Xenomorphs come from? its a bit of big plot hole

Good point.

Or: How did the Xenos get onto the Sulaco? I'm pretty sure the Queen didn't bring a crapload of eggs and humans to impregnate when she hitched that ride up from the planet.

And how did the Sulaco end up back in orbit over LV-426? From what I've seen, even a character in the intro asks the question about the Sulaco's location and she doesn't get an answer.

Wow.. that's great writing... or is it explained at some point in the story?

The majority of the xenos in this game come from previously unlucky marines. If you look at all the cocooned people, they're either Marines or Weyland Yutani people.

I haven't finished the campaign yet, but from what I've seen, the Sulaco had last been seen over Fury 161, but mysteriously had been brought back over LV-426. The surviving marines figure that it was Weyland-Yutani that had it brought back. Because as we see they had a big facility that looked like a research station set up around the Derelict. It's possible they brought the Sulaco back to study it as well. (remember there were a couple of facehuggers left on board, if one was a queen, or if the aliens can morph into a queen if one isn't present) then any marines or crew on board would be cocooned. Also any marines sent in on a rescue mission would have been taken as well.

As for the Xenos on LV-426, we can assume the nuclear blast didn't kill them...or at least all of them. The new types of Xenos could be mutations from the radiation or simply allowed to mature for so long, some of them gained unique abilities. Same thing again too, they would have captured any marines from the rescue mission plus weyland yutani crew in order to make more.

It's neither, a hive of Xenomorph will adapt to changes in their environment, with the combat they underwent in Aliens their hive will evolve new abilities/attributes as a result.

The whole game is a plot hole. It disregards not only the plot of Alien 3 but the ending of Aliens. If it was a fun, atmospheric game then that'd be fine, any excuse to visit iconic locations from Aliens is fine with me. Their constant jabbering on about how this is a true sequel & is canon to the Aliens story is ridiculous though.

As it stands, the game is completely awful & even the best, most ingenious story in the world couldn't save it.
