Yes the Derelict is in the game. Weyland-Yutani set up a science lab inside to do research on it. Then later on you re-visit the site and it had been overrun.

Are you serious about that ?! A lab ? Inside....the direlict ? Way to crush all the mystery and mystique of that place, game designers !

Man, this game sounds like it should be avoided.

Well it makes sense to set up a research lab near what you're studying.

Don't you realise, this environment has been stripped of it's mystique, sense of eeryness, danger and mystery.

Yeah, it does take away from what should have been a very creepy environment to have generic soldiers running around it, shooting at you. That's the entire game though. A mess of bad ideas.
