So Sad...

Each time I watch this feel-good movie, I see more and more in it. So much so, that it is becoming one of my favourites.

In my opinion, one of the most poignamt sequences is of young Jess (played beautifully by Sarah Butterworth), watching the older dancing couple, ostensibly over a period of weeks.

There are only three or four separate shots in this tale-within-a-tale, but they succinctly tell the story of the couple, and of the love they feel for each other, even as the old lady becomes weaker and weaker. Then suddenly, the old man is left all on his own.

Jess' heart goes out to him....and so does mine.
