Cloris

I thought Cloris (the old woman from the show mary tyler moore) was the funniest of them all. I was very surprised!

eh.

i'm not a fan of these people during roasts.

she spent the whole time reading material someone else wrote for her off a teleprompter.

she was crass and vulgar because no one would expect that to come out of her mouth.

boring.

i'd go as far as to say she probably didn't understand half of the stuff she was saying.

It was obviously not (all) her material. But it was just as obvious that she has better timing and stage presence than most of the regulars than didn't make it onto this years dais.If you think that's out of character for her you are not familiar with her.

I'd give her second place to Norm MacDonald.

She was the funniest.

Johnny Carson 1925-2005. We will never forget you.

why is it safe to assume she didn't write all those jokes? probably a lot of people used the prompter, and i didnt notice her using it more than anyone else. her deadpan delivery was fantastic. her/Norm/the fat ugly one were top 3.
