This roast was a big let down

Honestly, watching all the commericals about it, I was looking forward to this roast for about 2 weeks. Then comes the big night and it was such a big let down. Maybe I just like all the other roast because more than half the dais were actually funny. But this just sucked, I mean in all fairness, I changed the channel for about 30 minutes because I wanted to rip my ears off, but when Cloris Lechmen is the funniest person during a roast that's a problem. They had all these comics there and when someone( I still don't know what Cloris Lechmen was doing there)who is an actor is funnier than the actual commedians, something is wrong.

Please don't let anymore roast be this horrific.

And this is just my opinion on it.

I do have a question... What happened to Norm McDonald? I mean, is he only funny when he's impersonating other celebrities?

Agreed, The flavor flav roast was wayyyyyyyy funnier...except Brigette Nielsen, everyone was pretty decent.

The shatner roast was hilarious too, pam anderson was...eh so so.

This one wasnt as hilarious, upon a 2nd viewing I ended up skipping most of everything except for a few I liked personally

i know right? they only used like 4 jokes

bob saget not being funny
mary kate and ashley jokes
saying he's gay
and hey theys only 3 i can think of!

the worst one of all was jon lovitz, i dont really care for his comedy that much but that time he totally totally tanked, not only were his "songs" predictable, they were also repetitive of what EVERYBODY was saying and only making me want to put on an andy dick mask and follow him around for awhile untill he gos insane

i thought the first 15 minutes were absolutly hilarious... but after that... bobs gay, bobs a pedophile, bob isnt funny, bob is ugly, bob has no business in show business... i mean if this was done once or twice... and thats got to be worse than roasting a guy with aids... that i dont know did something like fell down a well 20 years ago... repetitive lame, boring and should have cut it down to 30 minutes

Agreed ... Norm was awesome.

I agree. I feel this was def. the best one. Second to it was Flava Flav. Cloris was great, Gilbert was great, Giraldo was great, Norton was great, Norm was hilarious. The only letdown was Lovitz. I've heard those jokes/songs before and they were funnier when he first sung them.
Jim Norton "Jeff Garland, how big of a man do you plan on becoming?"

Great roast.

It was a bit repetitive

Norm MacDonald was the only funny roaster.

reply

Have you all lost your minds? Norm was about as funny as a golf shoe in the face. He was just horrible.

I enjoyed the roast, personally. I laughed a lot. Norm was very funny too. I can't believe how many people don't get he was telling corny jokes on purpose.

just saw the pamela anderson roast. wasn't great.
i enjoyed the saget roast a lot more.

We have to remember that Bob has not done so many weird things as Flavor and Pamela.....makes it a bit harder to come up with jokes.....

I don't know what you guys we're on, but I thought it was a pretty good roast overall. The weakest I thought were Lovitz, Garlin, and Susie Essman, but even they had some funny jokes too.

Lovitz: Bob Saget's so gay that he ran off to church. He asked the priest that he'd do anything to stay. The priest asked: I don't know, can you light the candles? Saget replied: I don't know, can you light your dick on fire?

Essman: Stamos? You're *beep* but I wouldn't do you, because you seem like one of those narcissistic types, you know, the ones that yell out their own name when they're coming.

Of course, the highlight of the show was Leachman - its really a brilliant move by Comedy Central to bring out these older women and talk dirty. I knew she would kill after starting her bit by saying "I'm not here to roast Bob Saget; I'm here to *beep* John Stamos!" And her "My YouTube video has 400 hits" quote made me start to cry laughing.

Leachman's bit could've been better if she improved her delivery. The jokes were good, but her delivery didn't do justice to the material she was given...
