Trivia-What the asian girl says to You **poss. spoiler**

The part where the asian girl comes up to You and speaks Chinese. She says," You are very pretty. I really like you.".

It's a little strange to say a guy is pretty but that's what she says.

Well....

I don't know if you got this from a translator or whether you speak chinese, but as someone who has taken chinese language classes before, I can say that it does not translate 100%. For instance, she says "Ni Hao" in the movie which can mean both "Hello" and "How are you." In english if you said "Hello" and someone responded with "I am fine." then that would be odd. It is very likely that the chinese word for pretty is the same as the word for good looking, handsome, beautiful, etc...

My wife is Chinese and fluent in mandarin. She said that in the context of what she was saying, it actually translates into, "You're cute"

As a side note, you can't just directly translate from mandarin into english, and expect it to be perfect, or make sense in english... For example, if you want to say, "Turn off the light", in mandarin, the verb you use actually translates into "close", so sometimes if you catch a chinese speaker when they aren't paying attention, they'll tell you to "close the light" in english...
