Van Wilder is a classic in my opinion and I hate that they are screwing with it in any way, but at least they could keep with the story. In the original it is explained that he is a boring good kid his first two years. But, now we get this. I am scared to even watch what I am sure is horrid.
For people who did waist their time with this, do they even address this or just ignore it.
Watching the original right now. When Tara Reid goes to the school records and administration office and asks for info about Van Wilder the clerk brings out a bunch of files and binders and says "Freshmen year, I'll get the others." Tara Reid says "wait, there are more of these?" and then the clerk says "actually, there are many more (sarcastic now) it seems Mr. Wilder didn't come out of his shell until mid-sophomore year." So, actually the fact that he's a wild guy during his freshman year is legit continuity wise.
It's actually Van Wilder's son... Therefore they have no need to address the fact that the original Van was shy and quiet during his first couple years @ Coolidge. The title is Van Wilder 3 - Freshman Year.
