doesnt look like ryan reynolds

Thats really all i have to say. If your going to make a movie, based on a character that was played by Ryan Reynolds, then cast a guy that looks like Ryan. Eh I feel really stupid bringing up that point.

reply

Well it's true.

reply

Yeah he's about a foot smaller than Ryan and has a totally different build. I think the guy from step up 2 who is in the movie looks more like ryan personally. It's a joke to cast someone who looks so totally different.

reply

Seriously? Ryan Reynolds is 7'2"? I did not know that.

I thought his mimicry was RR-like at times and that Bennett did an ok job. In my opinion RR has close to perfect comedic timing and mimicry, so he's a pretty hard act to follow (preceed).
Anyway.. I was entertained by Bennett and co. for the duration.

btw, Reynolds is 6'2" and so is Bennett :)

reply

Sooooooo.....you looked the same at 18 and 26?

reply

Yes. And so do most people. Aside from aesthetic changes like hair style and maybe facial hair if you are talking about guys, neither of which apply to this character, almost everyone looks exactly the same at 26 that they did at 18. The body doesn't go through any major physical changes during that time period. Physical maturity occures then and the body basically stops changing for a while. 10-20, there are tons of physical changes. 20-30...almost none.

reply

You really should rephrase "the body doesn't go through any major physical changes" because the body CAN go through major physical changes if it's "forced" to with working out & pumping up. Also, if they want to be "technical" there is always the fabled "Freshman 15" & everything else that comes with college life.

None of which apply to this character :)

reply

Yes, the BODY can go through changes...no way is your face going to change as much to make Jonathan Bennett look anything like Ryan Reynolds.

reply

My face changed significantly. I gained a lot of weight and my face filled out quite a bit. It made me look like a whole new person. I have my old and new drivers licenses and when I put them together, I can't recognize the old me.

reply

Wow timbob...you should let all my friends who gained 50 pounds in thier twenties know that. They were saying that they wished they looked how they did in high school. They'll be happy to know that they, in fact, do!

reply

The movie itself was not great, and the plot was kinda silly, but not the worst I've seen and the plot itself is not the most important. Van is, and he was horrible beyond imagination, so disappointing.

reply

Agreed, he doesnt really look a lot like ryan reynolds.
