I looked up the car on wikipedia since it sounded like a cool car. I see that I owned a '64 Buick Wildcat for about a year when I was a kid (a very long time ago in Germany on base.) I paid $150 for it there. No muffler, a lot of fun, and it was fast. I gave it away when I left. I know, the Skylark was way better.

on edit: i meant add that we never got to see the car in the movie !

Actually the car in the movie is supposed to be a 1970. Still, too bad we don't get to see it. I had a friend with a '64, very cool car.

I had a 1968 Wildcat convertible. Mine looked like a cow with all the patches of Bond-O all over it. That car was about a block long and got horrible gas mileage, but it was my first car and I loved it.
