Has this been on UK TV (as of March 2011)?

Just read a review of the DVD release, and this sounds really familiar. It's possible I saw the 80's series (and there's an extremely slim chance I read the book) but when I checked out the trailer, it all looked VERY familiar.

I've definitely not seen the whole film as I didn't rate in on IMDb, but it "feels" like it was playing in the background whilst I was doing something else. Is this possible? Or have I got the worst case of deja vu ever? Or should I start taking the meds?
