Am I the only one who expected the early allusions to Soon Yi's menstrual regularity and Jenny's claims about the band leader's paternity to lead to something later in the story? Am I missing something? Are these somehow significant in and of themselves?

I just thought the earlier mentions were why she visited her husband at that time, solely to reproduce.

Jenny's pregnancy was why Sunny replaced her.
If Jenny didn't refuse to go to VN, why would bandleader take Sunny?
