I think Carlota had something to do with their father's death as well. I've been under the impression that Macarena's boyfriend was Cristobal and that for some reason they believe he died. Maybe Carlota made it up just to hurt Macarena.

So far Leticia Calderon is doing an excellent job as Carlota. This is the first time I see her as a villain and am pretty impressed with what she has done so far. She even scares ME a little. She just might top Gabriela Elizondo.
