Anyone know or want to guess what it is? Here are my theories:

1. Macarena is Paloma's real mother. If this is the case, she would have gotten pregnant out of wedlock, been sent away, and the baby given to the recently-married Javier and his wife.

2. Carlota is actually responsible for the death of their father, but perhaps not directly. She blames Macarena because she had some other difference with her at the same time and/or because it was easy to frame her.

3. Carlota murdered Macarena's great love. Perhaps he originally dated Carlota and ditched her for Macarena early in the game, certainly before any declarations of love were made.

4. Carlota and Macarena are not full sisters. Carlota might be adopted or the child of an adulterous relationship of their father's. In the world of Televisa this would be a partial explanation of how she is so different from Macarena and Javier.

1. I, too, think Macarena is Paloma's real mother.

2. I agree.

3. This whole time I have thought that Cristobal was the third member of the love triangle. Macarena thinks he's dead and Cristobal thinks she is dead as well. Carlota probably had something to do with this deception. I keep thinking about how he reacted when he met Javier the day of his wedding and found out that he was related to the Espinoza de los Monteros.

4. Good theory!! I had not thought about this. I'm going to pay close attention and watch for anything that might support your theory.

Of course, all of the above could be true.

I agree about Cristobal being the apex of the triangle; why else would he not want to go back to this town?

The merde is about to hit the fan. I can't wait for when Cristobal encounters the two sisters.

Poor Paloma because she will suffer the most from the fallout.
